Once created, a DAO object can be accessed and manipulated by any application that can use the Jet engine. This includes all of the applications in Microsoft Office, such as MS-Word, MS-Access, and Excel.
(2) Short for disk at once, a method of recording to CD-R disks in which all data is written in a single session.
