A high-resolution graphics specification designed by Texas Instruments. Unlike other graphics standards, TIGA does not specify a particular resolution or number of colors. Instead, it defines an interface between software and graphics processors. Programs written for TIGA, therefore, should be able to run on future systemsthat conform to the TIGA standard, regardless of resolution and color specifics.
Currently, the only graphics standard that conforms to TIGA is TI 34010, which defines a resolution of 1,024 by 768, with 256 simultaneous colors.
