calendars so that they can choose a convenient time. Once a time has been
selected, the scheduler can automatically send out reminders through
e-mail and can even reserve resources such as conference rooms and overhead projectors.
(2) In operating systems, a scheduler is a program that coordinates the use of shared resources, such as a printer.
