A technology that speeds the copying of information from main memory to CD-ROM. The conventional process for copying to CD-ROM, called magnetic-optico (MO) technology, requires that the disk pass at least twice under the head — once for erasing and once for copying (also called writing). LIMDOW modulatesthe laser’s intensity for both processes to complete the writing in a single rotation.
