IPX

Short for Internetwork Packet Exchange, a networking protocol used by the Novell NetWare operating systems. Like UDP/IP, IPX is a datagram protocol used for connectionlesscommunications. Higher-level protocols, such as SPX and NCP, are used for additional error recovery services.
