A published book that is based on and largely contains
text messaging sentences as they were typed out on a
cellphone. Cellphone novels are usually authored by women, are in the first person and are read like a personal diary. Cellphone novels are popular in Japan, because the nature of the Japanese language, where a complete sentence in Japanese can be a single verb, is more compatible with short text messaging sentences.
