Short for eXtendedSVCD, XSVCD is a nonstandardized recording format that offers features similar to SVCD. However, it can produce a higher video quality. XSVCD uses MPEG2 video. It can be played on computers with a computers with a CD or DVD-ROMs with the use of compatible software.
