iOS 10 is the tenth major update for Apple’s iOS mobile operating system that runs on portable Apple devices like the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Apple iOS 10 was introduced at the company’s 2016 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in early June 2016 along with OS X Sierra, with official availability expected in the fall.
What’s New in Apple iOS 10?
Codenamed Whitetail, Apple iOS10 builds on iOS 9 with new features and enhancements that include Raise to Wake, contextual predictions, rich notifications, additional 3D Touch capabilities in more apps (including Mail, Calendar, Weather and Stocks), and, as has been the case with each new iOS release since its debut, improved Siri functionality.
iOS isn’t supported on all versions of Apple products. Compatible devices include iPhone 5 and later releases, iPad mini 2 and later, iPad 4th generation and later and the iPod touch 6th generation.
