Short for DVI (Digital Visual Interface) Integrated, DVI-I is the connection, or interface used between monitors and computers or home theater systems. DVI-I is used to interface with an LCD or CRT monitor display for digital video output. DVI-I supports both digital and analog. However, it will not use both at the same time. DVI-I detects and chooses digital or analog depending on the connected display. Contrast with DVI-D, which is a digital-only interface and DVI-A which is an analog-only interface.
