Becoming IT certified in a specific skill or product is a way to prove that you have the necessary knowledge to perform a job in a given field or a job that uses specific technologies. Earning certification is a good way for computer science graduates and entry-level IT professionals to improve their resume. Employers often look at a candidate's computer and technology certifications in order to assess whether or not the individual is a viable candidate for a position.

A+ (CompTIA)

Adobe Certified Associate (ACA)

Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) - macOS

This macOS Sierra support certification is for people who manage computer networks or computer labs that run macOS.

Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) - OS X

This OS X support certification is designed for help desk specialists, technical coordinators, teachers, or power users who manage computer networks or computer labs that run OS X.

Apple Certified Pro (for Final Cut Pro X and Logic Pro X)

Apple's professional applications are the industry standard for photographers, editors, sound designers, visual effects and multimedia artists. Certifications are available for Final Cut Pro X and Logic Pro X.

AppleCare Service Certifications – ACMT & ACiT

Anyone can take the exams to become an Apple Certified Mac Technician (ACMT) 2017 or Apple Certified iOS Technician (ACiT) 2017. To pass these exams, you need to have access to the training in ATLAS and service exams.

Advanced Information Security (AIS)

Computer security certification for the network IT and security professional that focuses on assessing security risks and prevention of security breaches. This certification, offered by Security University, is an advanced course that requires expert knowledge of security technologies.

Certified Broadcast Networking Technologist (CBNT)

This CBNT certification is designed for persons who wish to demonstrate a basic familiarity with networking hardware as used in business and audio/video applications in broadcast facilities.

Certified Computer Examiner (CCE)

The Certified Computer Examiner certification is designed to professionalize and further the field and science of computer forensics by providing a fair process to certify the competency of forensic computer examiners. This certification is offered by International Society of Forensic Computer Examiners (ISFCE), a private organization.

Certified Electronics Technician by the ETA (CET)

Since 1978 the Electronics Technicians Association, International (ETA) has certified thousands of electronics technicians worldwide. ETA certified technicians excel in their areas of expertise, such as Fiber Optics, Biomedical Imaging, Computers, Satellite, Radar, Voice over IP, Telecommunications and Avionics.

Certified Technical Trainer (CTT)

CompTIA's Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+) certification is for instructors who want to verify they have attained a standard of excellence in the training field. CTT+ validates the knowledge and use of tools and techniques necessary for successfully teaching in today’s learning environments.

Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP)

Sponsored by the International Association of IT Asset Managers (IAITAM), this CHAMP certification targets the business practices that all organizations should employ to manage hardware assets.

Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

The CISA program certifies individuals in the IS audit, control and security profession. The CISA qualification is offered by ISACA and is conducted at over 140 locations in 45 countries.

Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

The CISM certification is for individuals who manage, design, oversee or assess an enterprise's information security (IS). To obtain CISM qualifications individuals must Score a passing grade on the CISM exam, agree to a Code of Professional Ethics to guide professional and personal conduct, and submit verified evidence of a minimum of five years of information security work experience.

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Issued by (ISC)2, the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification provides information security professionals with the tools and skills to design, develop, and manage the overall security posture of an organization.

Certified Information Technology Asset Manager (CITAM)

Sponsored by the International Association of IT Asset Managers (IAITAM), this certification for the IT asset management professional signifies mastery of the implementation and management issues associated with hardware and software asset management.

Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW)

A CIW certification is a documented measure that validates an individual's skill and knowledge in a given CIW job role, or a combination of specified CIW job role and language theory exams that culminate in a Master CIW certification. It is a vendor-neutral IT and Web technology education and certification program.

Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM)

Sponsored by the International Association of IT Asset Managers (IAITAM), the CSAM certification focuses on the business practices for software asset management necessary for compliance and as a corporate cost savings strategy.

Certified Software Developer Program (CSDP)

Sponsored by IEEE, the IEEE Computer Society's CSDP certification is the only software development professional certification that has all of these critical support components and carries the mark of the IEEE Computer Society. Candidates applying for certification as a Certified Software Development Professional must satisfy both educational and experiential requirements.

Certified Software Tester (CSTE)

The Certified Software Tester (CSTE) certification is intended to establish standards for initial qualification and provide direction for the testing function through an aggressive educational program. To qualify for candidacy, each applicant must meet one of three prerequisites: a bachelor's degree from an accredited college-level institution, an associate degree and two years of experience in the information services field or six years of experience in the information services field.

Cisco Certified Technicians (CCT)

Cisco Certified Technicians (CCT) have the skills to diagnose, restore, repair, and replace critical Cisco networking and system devices at customer sites. Cisco authorized training is available online and can be completed in multiple short sessions, enabling technicians to stay productive in the field.

Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT)

The CCENT certification validates the skills required for entry-level network support positions, the starting point for many successful careers in networking. CCENT certified professionals have the knowledge and skill to install, operate, and troubleshoot a small enterprise branch network, including basic network security.

Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA)

The Associate level of Cisco Certifications can begin directly with CCNA for network installation, operations and troubleshooting or CCDA for network design. The Associate Level is the foundation level of networking certification.

Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP)

Citrix Certified Expert - Virtualization (CCE-V)

Citrix Certified Associate – Networking (CCA-N)

Cloud+ (CompTIA)

HP ATP - Data Protector

Typical candidates for this certification are storage and systems administrators with a thorough understanding of backup and recovery concepts, and who are already using or looking into adopting HPE Data Protector software to help organizations protect their information more effectively.

HPE ASE - Data Center and Cloud Architect V3

This certification validates that you can design, describe, differentiate and demonstrate data center solutions based on HPE CloudSystem and HPE Helion solutions.
