A CloudBook is an alternative to the Chromebook, web-based computing device. The biggest difference between standard Cloud and Chrome-named books is the operating system. Chromebooks run Google’s Chrome OS, while the CloudBook offers users the Windows 10 operating system experience, in a new variant called Windows Cloud.

In addition to the different operating system, other features of CloudBooks include support for higher display resolutions, webcams and SD card readers. Where Chromebook users typically look to web services including Google Play, Google Docs and Google Drive for apps and storage needs, the CloudBook divert users to the Microsoft ecosystem of OneDrive, Office 365 and other applications.
