Servers

Servers are networked computers that provide data and services to other computers (clients) on the network. Servers are often dedicated computers, although a server can be a standard client computer on the network that is also capable of providing one or more services for other client PCs. The term servers can additionally refer to special software developed to help server computers efficiently handle the requests of client computers.
