fully virtual

A virtual machine (VM) mode that completely emulates all hardware devices and puts demand on CPU resources from the VM server. Fill virtualization requires special hardware, but most operating systems are able to fun in full virtual mode. Also called full virtualization mode.

Contrast with paravirtual. See also virtualization.
