To date Fujitsu has accumulated over 34,000 patents and employees 1,500 research scientists at Fujitsu Laboratories. Fuji Tsushinki Manufacturing Corporation was established in 1935 and first began manufacturing electronic calculation machines in 1951. In November 1962 Fujitsu Limited became the company’s official English corporate name.
