Enterprise Portal Software

Abbreviated as EPS, Enterprise Portal Software is a prepackaged software kit used by the enterprise to integrate its information and processes. Organizations use portals primarily to aggregate information from a number of different sources, including disparate systems, and provide this information to authorized users in a neatly managed single screen or system. EPS usually offer a Web-based interface to provide a secure unified access point through which information is aggregated to application-specific portlets.  Enterprise Portal Software lets authorized users access Web services, and portals can be combined to form portal networks which can cover an organization's entire enterprise system.
