Backward Chaining

In artificial intelligence (AI) systems, backward chaining refers to a scenario where the AI has been provided with a specific goal and must “work backwards” to figure out how to achieve the set goal. To do this, the AI would look back through the rule-based systemto find actions in the “then” rules.
